(“new” is a relative term,,,)
I’m on a big ♪LIGHTS♪ kick right now and HONESTLY these all could be her amazing videos BUT thought i would add some variety, so here are 3 rad videos that have been inspiring me lately.
i am not as up to date in all the lights mythology to be able to explain why this video is soooo amazing so i will just tell you why it’s so amazing: lights is great, this song is great, this video is GREAT, the entire thing encapsulates what Co-Star is telling me about remember all my past me’s and they all need to be a part of this as well~
OHEMGEE this is so cringey yet amazing, i’m so glad that i didn’t make it/alternatatively that anything i made 12 years ago wasn’t immortilised online jeeeezus. but also look where Qveen is now!!! goals. i’d gladly have some cringe like this to acheive Qveen Final Form
i love two of her songs but this one has a video (and it’s AMAZING) i have so many costuming/photo project ideas thank you girl
-i was going to add 5, but i think 3 is a manageable number-
(it took everything i had to not make these in ABC order)
-some of the runners up included lots of Erika Vikman, more Lights, that good Doja Cat video, it’s Britney bitch, some finnish stuff i’ll wait on, or maybe have an english and a non-english New Music Tuesday posts? yes.
ANYWAY why MTV???
growing up, we didn’t have TV. We did have tho about 500 VHS tapes and a VCR. some of those VHS tapes were recorded from MTV. those ones were the best. i got good enough at the intros of music that i was able to identify songs by title, artist, album (the miniscule white lettering in the corner) and was able to get thru 3/4 of a round of the program 120 Minutes(just 2 hours of music videos) of naming the song before the white letters showed up in the corner. I was allowed to stay up past my bedtime for every song i could name.
I was 8.
looking back, my parents made a lot of um,,,, questionable,,, parenting choices, both by the standards of today and the 1900s. (LOL)
